Duration: Up to 10 weeks, full time in office 37.5 hours per week
Location: City Center, Washington DC
Pay: $20.00 per hour (Non-Benefited Position)
Orientation: June 18, 2024
Departments Available for Internships: Legal (Compliance, IP), Science/Regulatory, Membership, Finance and Accounting, Policy (Health, Agriculture & Environment, International), Advocacy/Government Relations, Events and Industry Education.
Eligibility Criteria for Interns:
- Enrollment: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines aligned with the department of interest.
- Interest: Demonstrated passion for the department of interest, with additional enthusiasm for biotechnology or associations, evidenced through coursework, research projects, extracurricular activities, or relevant work experience.
- Academic Performance: Strong academic track record, typically with a minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with the capacity to convey ideas effectively and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Analytical Skills: Possess analytical prowess and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and a readiness to learn.
- Legal Eligibility: Ability to work in the United States legally, demonstrated through citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate work authorization documentation.
- Commitment: Availability to commit to the duration of the internship program.
- Additional Requirements: Compliance with specific internship position requirements, such as background checks, confidentiality agreements, or technical skills.
