BIO to Offer Complimentary Access to One-on-One Partnering™ During J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference (“JPM Week”)

September 28, 2017

Washington, D.C. (September 28, 2017) – The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) announced today that its popular BIO One-on-One Partnering™ will be offered free of charge during the week of the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference – January 7-11, 2018 in San Francisco. This unique industry service will connect biotechs, investors, in-licensors and others using BIO’s partnering system, regardless of whether they are attending any particular event during JPM week.

“BIO supports and encourages the strategic alliances that can make new discoveries a reality. Our newest industry offering, designed to benefit the biotech community, will unify the partnering experience during a very hectic and important week,” said Joanne Duncan, BIO’s President of Membership and Business Operations. “By establishing another pathway to promote partnerships and deal-making, we are creating the potential for a novel therapy or breakthrough that could benefit any one of us.”

An industry-leading platform, BIO’s proprietary partnering system makes coordinating and scheduling meetings with potential business partners easy and seamless. Users of the digital tool can move efficiently from prospect identification to discussion and negotiation by searching company and investor profiles and by communicating directly with targeted partners. The system contains meeting histories from all BIO events and features Outlook/email calendar integration to simplify the deal making process during the largest healthcare investing event of the year. During the 2017 JPM week, when this offer was available for the first time, the system facilitated more than 1,100 meetings.

In addition to complimentary access to the partnering system, BIO will provide meeting space at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, conveniently located near Union Square at 4th & Mission, for a small fee. More information can be found on BIO’s website.

BIO is a “welcome partner” with Big3Bio which will launch its BioWeekSF at the upcoming BIO Investor Forum. The site will provide exclusive resources during JPM week.

BIO’s partnering system is now open; visit bio.org/jpm.
