Washington, D.C. (June 1, 2016) – Today, the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) announced a new agreement with VWR to provide members with laboratory supplies, equipment and chemicals through June 2023. BIO is the world's largest trade association representing biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations across the United States and in more than 30 other nations. This agreement will allow VWR, a leading, independent provider of laboratory products, services and solutions, to continue collaborating with the 3,000 BIO Business Solutions members across North America. BIO members are involved in the research and development of innovative healthcare, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology products.

BIO members and members of endorsing state & regional affiliates will see enhanced benefits from this new agreement, building upon the already significant savings and value being generated as a result of the purchasing power of thousands of life science companies. The new agreement will provide increased discounts on hundreds of commonly ordered items, reduced freight and hazardous materials surcharges, growth rebates and more.
