Pamela Torpey is a Principal Counsel in the Global Intellectual Property Department at Sanofi, bringing over 25 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Since joining Sanofi in 2014, she has held various roles, currently focusing on providing global intellectual property support for the company’s vaccine and mRNA initiatives.
Before her current position, Pamela spent six years in the Strategy, Business Development, and Mergers & Acquisitions team, where she provided critical IP support across all of Sanofi’s business sectors. In this capacity, she played a key role in conducting due diligence and drafting complex agreements for significant transactions and acquisitions, helping to achieve Sanofi’s strategic objectives.
Prior to her tenure at Sanofi, Pamela practiced at a boutique intellectual property firm, where she began her career as a patent agent and advanced to become a partner and shareholder. In this role, she developed global patent strategies and managed IP assets for a diverse clientele, including startups and academic institutions. Pamela holds a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law.
