BIO Submits Statement to House Ag Hearing on the Rural Economy

The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) is pleased to submit a statement for the record to the United States House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit hearing on A Look at the Renewable Economy in Rural America.

By bolstering existing technologies and investing in emerging biotechnologies the agricultural value chain could provide transformative greenhouse gas benefits in a range of sectors, to the benefit of Rural America’s renewable economy. BIO is committed to working with the Subcommittee to support policy that advances pioneering technology breakthroughs. With science, we can return our Nation and the world to health and prosperity by taking bold and drastic action to address the climate crisis.
