Christian Toouli, PhD

Dr Christian Toouli Btech(Hons) PhD GAICD is the CEO & Managing Director of FivepHusion. He is a motivated and resourceful biotechnology executive, dedicated to the development and commercialization of breakthrough medicines for patients and to creating value for shareholders. He has 23 years’ experience in cancer research, drug development and biotechnology business development, with broad transactional experience. Dr Toouli is the co-founder and Executive Director of Bio-Link Australia, a biotechnology strategic advisory and business development company. Dr Toouli previously co-founded Tessara Therapeutics and Imunexus, biotechnology companies developing cutting-edge therapeutic platform technologies. Previously, Dr Toouli was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Discovery Research Department of Schering-Plough Biopharma/DNAX Research Institute in Silicon Valley, California, the biotechnology arm of the Schering-Plough Corporation. Dr Toouli holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and was awarded a Certificate in Biotechnology Management with Honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension, and First-Class Honors in Biotechnology from Flinders University of South Australia. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
