Donovan Yeates, PhD

Donovan B. Yeates, Ph.D., is Founder and CEO, KAER Biotherapeutics Corporation. At KAER, raised the funds to enable his team to generate two novel game-changing product lines, AeroPulsR and SUPRAER-Clinic. They enable surfactant, antibodies, anti-infectives in aqueous liquids and suspensions to be delivered as either liquid or solid-phase respiratory aerosols at particle sizes and delivery rates not previously possible to treat respiratory distress in pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Yeates was CEO of the incubator company, BioTechPlex Corporation. He was a Senior Research Career Scientist in the Department of Veterans Affairs and a Professor in the Departments of Bioengineering and Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was a Section Chief in the Department of Medicine and Director of a university wide Occupation Health and Safety Center. Dr. Yeates is an emeritus professor with over 90 publications and 25 patents. He is a past president of the Chicago Thoracic Society and served on the board of directors of the Illinois Biotechnology Organization (IBIO). He has a Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto.
