Paul Chu, MBA

Paul Chu is an experienced life science executive with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He has held senior leadership roles in both small biotech companies and large multi-national corporations. Paul has experience in deal-making across international geographies and therapeutic areas and has closed deals valued at over $6 billion with a portfolio that spans across oncology, eyecare, neuroscience, and medical aesthetics. Paul serves as the SVP of Business Development for Phanes, where he leads all aspects of business development. Prior to joining Phanes, Paul held similar roles at several privately held, clinical stage biotechs, where he led BD in oncology, ophthalmology and dermatology. He was also head of BD at UroGen Pharma, a public company traded on NASDAQ. Earlier in his career Paul was Director of Business Development at Allergan, Inc. where he spearheaded multiple M&A transactions.

Paul holds an MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and a BA in Finance and Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
