My professional interest is in the application and development of High-Throughput Structural Biology/Protein X-ray Crystallography to study individual proteins and their complexes from prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms with the ultimate goal of exploiting the knowledge outcomes of structure-function relationships in medicine and biotechnology. I have 15 years of direct experience in HT protein crystallography
including at the Berkeley Structural Genomics Center (University of California Berkeley & Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) and at the Joint Center for Structural Genomics (SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory & Stanford University). I co-founded XPose Therapeutics, Inc., which is aimed at developing novel medicines for challenging targets, leveraging fragment hits and crystal structures to develop target-specific therapeutic compounds.
