Dr Helliwell practiced as a Cardiac Anesthesiologist with a focus on Cardiac Transplantation prior to founding Eupraxia Pharmaceuticals. As an entrepreneur, Dr Helliwell also invented a medical device, got an FDA approval and successfully sold the company to a large global medical device company. Eupraxia Pharmaceuticals represents a merging of his clinical, scientific and business skills.
