Massoud Motamed, PhD

Massoud Motamed currently serves as the Vice President of Quality Assurance and Analytics for Nanoscope Therapeutics. Dr. Motamed was most recently a CMC reviewer for the Gene Therapy Branch at CBER. Previously, Dr. Motamed held appointments as Head of Auditing and Compliance at Cipla, a global pharmaceutical company, as well as an FDA inspector for pharmaceutical quality and compliance. Dr. Motamed has been awarded FDA’s Outstanding Service award from the Office of Regulatory Affairs, and Cipla’s companywide Achievement Award. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from UT Southwestern under mentors Drs. Michael Brown and Joseph Goldstein.
