Anup Arora

Anup Arora currently serves as the Founding Managing Director and CIO of K2 HealthVentures (www.k2hv.com), a healthcare-focused specialty finance company. Anup has over 20 years of investment, operations, and consulting experience in the healthcare industry. He has spent the last 15 years investing in venture and growth stage life sciences companies. Prior to co-founding K2 in 2018, Anup was a Managing Director at Hercules Capital, where he led nearly half a billion dollars in capital commitments to private and small-cap public companies in the healthcare space. Previously, Anup was a Managing Director at Easton Capital, where he was involved in numerous venture capital investments in biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, and healthcare IT companies. During his tenure with Easton, Anup was also actively engaged in the strategic and operational management of several of his portfolio companies, including Bluebird Bio (FKA Genetix Pharmaceuticals) where he served as CBO. Prior to Easton, Anup worked in global marketing at Pfizer, and as a strategy consultant with Strategic Decisions Group. He also spent two years engaged in biomedical research at Stanford Medical School.
Anup holds an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School, as well as a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology from Stanford University.
