Mathias Kroll, PhD,MBA,MSc

Mathias Kroll is the Chief Commercial Officer of QIMR Berghofer. Mathias conceived and established a number of significant global collaborations, licensing, and acquisitions in the field of development, manufacturing, and sales of pharmaceutical products including small molecules, antibodies, vaccines, peptides, and cell therapies, involving players from research, Industry, and supranational organizations. Manufacturing, supply and distribution have been key themes in his transactions.
He has worked in business and corporate development for GSK, Bavarian Nordic, and UCB and has led research groups in Bayer Healthcare and Sanofi. He studied chemistry and biology in Germany and the United States, obtaining tertiary degrees in each, holds a PhD for research performed at Pasteur Institute in Paris (France) on HIV provirus biology, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
