TOKIWA-Bio is a Japanese biotech start-up company developing a novel gene vector called Stealth RNA Vector (SRV).
SRV is an RNA-based gene delivery system that enables stable and sustained gene expression in vitro and in vivo. The key feature of SRV is 1. no genotoxicity due to its RNA nature, and 2. the ability to transduce and simultaneously express more than 10 genes (14kbp~) in one SRV, expanding the possibilities for cell/tissue reprogramming and gene therapy (including CRISPR/Cas gene editing).
We have already established reagents for efficient production of high quality iPS cells. We also actively pursue drug discovery and development collaborations using SRV.
