Rick Hawkins

Rick Hawkins is CEO and Chairman of Lumos Pharma and a healthcare entrepreneur. Mr. Hawkins has founded several companies in the healthcare space, including Pharmaco, a clinical development services company ultimately merged into PPD to form PPD Pharmaco, one of the largest CROs in the world. He also co-founded and led Sensus Drug Development Corp, which developed a growth hormone (GH) antagonist for acromegaly among other indications and was later sold to Pharmacia (now Pfizer). In addition, Mr. Hawkins co-founded and served as Director of Covance Biotechnology Services, Inc., a contract manufacturer of recombinant proteins, later sold to Akzo Nobel. Mr. Hawkins has received numerous awards for his contributions to the life sciences and as an entrepreneur. Mr. Hawkins currently serves as a Director on the Boards of Plus Therapeutics (PSTV) and Savara Pharmaceuticals (SVRA).
