Kyra Lanza is the Associate Vice President, ESG Strategy & Engagement for Merck, leading the company’s environmental, social, governance (ESG) strategic approach, with a focus on advancing the company’s commitment to access to health, employees, environmental sustainability, and ethics & values. She is focused on accelerating the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable value by refining the strategy to make a distinctive impact on enterprise-level ESG commitments. Her responsibilities include advancing Merck’s ESG progress and performance, leading Merck’s ESG engagement with stakeholders, and delivering related ESG reporting communications to establish Merck as an ESG thought leader.
Kyra became part of Merck’s Social Business Innovation group in 2019, managing the company’s ESG risks and opportunities as Executive Director. She’s served as our company’s ESG spokesperson and has helped elevate our ESG profile, including leading the initiative to recently expand the company’s public ESG goals. She joined Merck in 2010 from Mercer, a division of Marsh & McLennan, where she served as lead in consulting Fortune 500 companies in communications and change management. Kyra holds a BA degree from Clemson University.
