Khalil Bitar, PhD

The founder and Acting CEO is Dr. Khalil N, Bitar, PhD, AGAF, MBA,. Dr. Bitar is a world-renowned neuro-gastroenterologist with expertise in regenerative medicine. His most recent appointment is affiliate Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He has previously been a tenured Professor of Regenerative Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Physiology/Pharmacology at Wake Forest School of Medicine (WFSM), and a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Tech /Wake Forest School of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Bitar received an MBA in Essentials and Entrepreneurship (2009) from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is also a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Bitar and has a record of NIH-sponsored research funding spanning more than four decades.
