After experiencing pain in her left leg and shortness of breath, Beth Waldron discovered she had deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in both lungs.
The diagnosis launched a new journey for her. She began volunteering with the National Blood Clot Alliance, helping answer the questions of other patients and providing peer support. She then began working with the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she co-founded a thrombosis education program educating both patients and health care professionals.
Now, Beth serves as the Director of Communications for the National Blood Clot Alliance, helping educate others about blood clots.
