BIO Announces Presenting Companies for 10thAnnual BIO Investor Forum
BIO Investor Forum will be held October 25 – 26 in San Francisco, CA
WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 6, 2011) - The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announces the initial selection of presenting companies for the 10th annual BIO Investor Forum to be held October 25 - 26 in San Francisco, CA. In its 10th year, this international investor conference focused on private and emerging public biotech companies celebrates a “Decade of Excellence.”
“We pride ourselves on creating a unique environment where attendees from around the world come with the purpose of investing in private and early stage biotech companies. It is our hope that with the 10thannual BIO Investor Forum, attendees and presenters alike capitalize on the exceptional opportunities available only at this event,” said Alan Eisenberg, Executive Vice President of Emerging Companies and Business Development at BIO.
The aim of the forum is to bring together a select group of private and early stage biotech companies and leading investors to foster the development of important new medicines that will expand the industry’s pipeline. Investors attend to meet with executives from life sciences growth companies, benefit from candid panel discussions and get an overview of the industry. Companies attend to meet one-on-one with new and current investors, get the pulse on the latest life science investment trends and network with peers, investors and potential partners.

The criterion for presenting companies was established by BIO and the conference advisory committee. The committee is comprised of members from top-tier firms focused on investing and banking in the life sciences industry in addition to executives from emerging and leading biotech companies.
