BIO 2006 Virtual Press Kit Available

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 22, 2006) -- The BIO 2006 Annual International Convention, the world’s largest biotech conference, will be held April 9-12 in Chicago at the McCormick Place Convention Center. The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) has compiled a virtual press kit for members of the media planning to attend or write about BIO 2006.

The kit contains a number of educational resources about biotechnology as well as state-by-state industry statistics that demonstrate the important economic role of the life sciences in the Midwest. The kit also contains information about BIO and links to state associations representing the biotech industry in the Midwest. BIO represents more than 1,100 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations across the United States and 31 other nations.
