Benjamin S. Carson, Sr. M.D.
Ben Carson will be the keynote speaker at the opening plenary session on Thursday, May 6, 2010. Come and be inspired by his motivational presentation---he’ll share his childhood dream of becoming a physician, the numerous challenges he faced, his career as a neurosurgeon, and his philosophies.
Ben Carson, Sr., M.D. is a full professor of neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery and pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where he has directed pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center for over a quarter of a century.
His four books, Gifted Hands, THINK BIG, The Big Picture and Take the Risk: Learning to Identify, Chose and Live with Acceptable Risk (January 2008), provide inspiration and insight for leading a successful life. In 2009, the movie entitled Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story premiered on TNT and is based on his memoir.
