A Conversation with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research

April is Parkinson's Awareness Month so it seemed like a good opportunity to learn more about the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

If you attended the 2007 BIO International Convention, you may have heard Michael J. Fox's challenge to the audience to redeploy reources to advance promising therapies more quickly thru the drug development pipeline and his invitation to partner with the Foundation on those efforts.  If you were not fortunate to be in the audience, you can read the speech on the Foundation's website.

BIOtech Now spoke to Sohini Chowdhury, Vice President for Research Partnerships at the Foundation, about the Foundation's mission, how it seeks to speed therapeutic development for Parkinson's, and how it works with the biotech industry and other partners.
