In response to requests from its members, BIO has developed a formal BIO Policy Statement on Options for Increasing Access to Medicines in the Developing World to help educate BIO's members on the concrete and practical steps they can take to improve access to medicines in the developing world. While many of BIO's members already are undertaking various efforts to address the global health crisis, we recognize that more can and should be done. This policy statement, recently approved by the BIO Board Executive Committee, is the first time that we as an industry have come together to identify viable options that we believe individual companies should consider as they develop and market their products worldwide.
