The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) is pleased to submit these comments in response to the Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) for Plant-Incorporated Protectants (PIPs); Potential Revisions to Current Production Regulation published by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or Agency) on April 4, 2007. BIO is a not-for-profit trade association that represents more than 1,100 organizations across the United States (U.S.) and in 31 other nations. BIO members are involved in the research and development of healthcare, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology products.
